Here is what we actually do, in plain terms, so you can tell whether we are the right call before you pick up the phone. Our emergency line runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, and on an emergency we aim to be with you within 45 minutes.

Burst pipes and emergency water leaks

A burst or split pipe can do more damage in an hour than the repair itself costs. If you can reach your stop tap, turn the water off, then call us. We deal with burst and split pipes, leaking joints, water coming through a ceiling, overflowing tanks and leaks running under floors or behind walls. We work through the night and at weekends.

Leak detection and leak investigation

Not every leak shows itself. A water meter that keeps ticking over when nothing is running, a damp patch that dries and comes back, a warm strip across the floor, or a boiler that keeps losing pressure, usually means water is escaping somewhere you cannot see. We trace the source first so the repair stays as small as possible, rather than lifting floors and hoping.

Blocked drains and drainage

If the sink is draining slowly, the toilet gurgles when the bath empties, or the drain outside has started to smell, that is a blockage building rather than a one off. We clear internal and external blockages: kitchen and bathroom waste pipes, soil pipes, gullies, outside drains and manholes, on domestic and commercial property. When the same drain keeps blocking we look at why, instead of clearing it again in a fortnight.

Toilet repair and replacement

Toilets are one of the most common calls we get. A pan that will not flush, a cistern that keeps running, a toilet that fills forever, water seeping out at the base, or a blockage that has made the level rise instead of drop. We repair flush mechanisms, fill valves, cisterns, seals and soil connections, clear blocked pans, and where a toilet is past saving we can supply and fit a new one.

Taps, sinks and waste pipes

Dripping taps, a tap that has seized solid, a mixer that has lost pressure on one side, a sink that drains slowly, a leaking trap in the cupboard underneath, or a waste pipe that has worked loose. These are small jobs that turn into big ones if they sit. We repair and replace taps, sinks, basins, traps and waste pipework in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms.

Boiler repair, servicing and replacement

If your boiler has locked out, is showing a fault code, keeps losing pressure, is giving you hot water but no heating, or has started making a noise it never made before, we can attend and diagnose it. We cover boiler repairs, servicing and replacement.

Central heating and radiators

Radiators cold at the top, warm upstairs and cold downstairs, a system that will not hold pressure, a noisy pump, a valve weeping onto the carpet, or a thermostat that is not calling for heat. We diagnose central heating faults, bleed and balance systems, replace radiators and valves, and get the heating back on.

Bathroom repairs and upgrades

Showers that have gone cold or lost pressure, leaking shower trays, silicone that has failed and let water behind the tiles, a bath that will not drain, or a full bathroom refit. We handle the small repairs and the bigger upgrades, and we are happy to work to a plan you already have.

General plumbing repairs and installations

Not everything is an emergency. Outside taps, seized stop taps, washing machine and dishwasher connections, isolating valves, pipework alterations, low water pressure and appliance plumbing are everyday work for us. If you are not sure who you need, describe it on the phone and we will tell you straight.
